Nov 3: It always takes longer than expected

  1. Email “Apartment Guy”
  2. Sent an Email, have not heard back

  3. Drop a Thank You Email off to “Haole”
  4. Ha! He beat me to it! It was great. That is how you network. He gave me some links to follow-up on, and I sent him some links to follow-up on. Now we have conduits of conversation, and can keep some email threads going. In fact he sent me the information to a Property Manager, whom I also met yesterday. Great connection.

  5. Fix bolts in the toilet to stop the leak at Hopkins
  6. I tried, but did not have the right tools, will get it done tomorrow.

  7. Finish the last 2 tiles in the Master bedroom
  8. With the leak, I didn’t do this eaither

  9. Remove the Vinyl flooring in second bathroom
  10. Done! Now I just to clean all the glue crap off the subfloor

  11. Finish repairing wall in second bathroom
  12. Done! Just need to put some wall texture on and then paint it!

Overall it was a productive day. Once again I got a late start and didn’t get to the property until 11am, and had to get out of there by 3:30pm. Had the new Prospective PM meet me at the property so we could talk. She’s a talker which is fine, but has experience in our space and has a property 2 buildings down from Arlene. So she knows the area and tenant class. I’m falling in love with her.

I got some trim work done, and finished doing the walls. I’m finding that I can’t work on the floor for too long before my back starts acting up so I have to change constantly what I am doing. It’s kept me a little more motivated doing it like that.

What’s on the schedule for today?

  1. Fix bolts in the toilet to stop the leak at Hopkins
  2. Finish the last 2 tiles in the Master bedroom
  3. Remove the Vinyl flooring in second bathroom
  4. Paint Master Bathroom
  5. Paint Second Bathroom
